Yemat originated as a “Seaweed Specialized Company” from a humble dried seafood shop in the 1980s.

Yemat is dedicated to transforming Korea's gim from a warm rice accompaniment

into a snack enjoyed by people all around the world.


We strive to introduce the term 'gim' to a global audience, 

showcasing our unique cultural heritage.


We are using the logo ‘C-WEED SNACK,’ 

which means ‘Seaweed Snack,’ and ‘Kwon’s Gim,’ 

which utilizes the last name of the founder of Yemat.
